Park County Rural Fire District No. 1 has been serving Park County, Montana and the community of Livingston since 1955.
The district covers 660 square miles within Park County. The district stretches west to east from the Gallatin County line to the Sweetgrass County line and south to north from the Paradise Valley Flying Y Ranch Airport to Milepost 7 on US Highway 89 North.
District 1 is an all-hazards department providing response to wildland fires, structural fires, motor vehicle accidents, hazardous materials incidents, and rescue operations. The district is also active in fire prevention, education, and mitigation programs.
The district maintains 3 fire stations, staffed by approximately 30 volunteers. Administrative business is conducted at the main station, located at 304 E Park St in Livingston.
